Der iPod-Spot, mit dem alles anfing…
Im Oktober 2001 schrieben die Mac Essentials (damals noch eine unter vielen Rubriken des Weblogs IT&W, und noch auf Englisch): »Apple introduces iPod, a digital audio player with a 5GB hard drive (1000 songs). 20 minute skip protection, FireWire-equipped, first such music player.« Ich erinnere mich noch lebhaft an die Diskussionen um »The Device« - was daraus werden würde, ahnte damals sicher nicht einmal Apple.
Hier ist das Original-Promo-Video (klick auf’s Bild), mit dem der ganze iPod-Hype begann, gepostet von MacTV.com [7 min, 15 MB, H.264]. Meine Lieblingsstellen sind die, an denen Jonathan Ive sagt: »Our goal was to design… something that could become an icon« (Ziel erreicht!), und das Schlußbild: Think Different. Das Video über den iPod der ersten Generation ist auch über den Mac Essentials Video-Podcast zu haben: passend für den neuen iPod der fünften Generationen…
