Erinnerung an schwedische Campingplätze
Hübsche Story bei folklore.org: August 1983 - wenige Monate vor der Vorstellung des Macintosh. Auf der hektischen Suche nach einem eindeutigen Symbol für »Befehl« findet Apples damalige Icon-Queen Susan Kare eines, das wenigstens ein bißchen mit der Funktion zu tun hat: ein blumenförmiges Symbol, das in Schweden z.B. auf Campingplätzen oder Landkarten auf kulturelle Sehenswürdigkeiten hinweist (wie eine schwedische Tourismus-Website zeigt).
Und so kommt es, daß noch heute jeder Mac ein Stück von einem schwedischen Campingplatz in sich trägt. Und wer soviel Apple-Kultur auch auf der Unterhose bei sich tragen möchte, kann dies für 16 Dollar tun. Bei uns heißt die Taste werksintern übrigens »Blumenkohl-Taste« - und bei euch?
