16:15 Uhr Silicon.de: Samsung, Weltmarktführer bei Flash-Speichern, und Intel bringen Hybrid-Festplatten mit NAND-Speichern auf den Markt: Intels Produkt wird bis zu 8 GB, das von Samsung dagegen bis zu 160 GB fassen. Angeblich will Apple im zweiten Halbjahr ein Notebook mit Flash-Speicher anbieten.
14:00 Uhr Apple: das OS-Update 10.4.9 umfasst auch die neue iSync-Version 2.4: Apple hat inzwischen seine Kompatibilitätsliste ergänzt; danach werden über ein Dutzend Handys zusätzlich unterstützt. iChat kann nun auch mit USB-Webcams umgehen, Aperture hat erweiterten RAW-Support für mehrere Kameras.
10:00 Uhr Bloomberg: im Notebook-Markt der USA rangierte Apple im Januar mit einem Marktanteil von 10 Prozent an fünfter Stelle, teilt das Marktforschungsunternehmen NPD Group mit. Bei den Musikplayern dominiert Apple nach wie vor deutlich mit einem einem Marktanteil von 72 Prozent vor SanDisk, der als zweiter auf 8,9 Prozent kam.
