Der Geist von Berlin: iPhone steuert Auto
Was bislang Stoff für Fakevideos war, ist Realität geworden: Forscher der Freien Universität Berlin haben ein iPhone App entwickelt, das ein Auto komplett fernsteuern kann. Das autonome Fahrzeug »Spirit of Berlin« kann nicht nur ohne menschliches Zutun durch Hindernisse steuern, sondern auch mit dem iPhone ferngelenkt werden:
Wie Ben Schwan in Technology Review schreibt, steckt der Chrysler-Van voller Elektronik: neben Videokameras, Laser-3D-Sensoren und GPS zur Positionsbestimmung ist auch noch ein Drive-by-Wire-System zur direkten Steuerung und WLAN-Funk für die Fernabfrage und Programmierung mit an Bord.
Ein Fernlenkauto dieser Größe braucht eben einiges Zubehör… [via I love iPhone]
